Real Warri Pikin Cancelled Show: As An Effurun Boy I Like As The Matter Spread.Why is it that everyone outside of delta state thinks the whole place is warri, meanwhile warri doesn't even cover up to 25% in delta state. I used to think I was a warri boy myself not until in my teenage years I realised warri I have been claiming I really wasn't from there in fact I barely even go there..okere,igbudu and the rest. I was born and bred in "EFFURUN" Uvwie the major entry point of delta state and yet for years I thought I was a warri boy and you wouldnt blame me. You'd blame our fore fathers (urhobos) who really didn't care that much because they were so accommodating that they accepted anything be thrown at them even to the point of accepting names that isnt geographically correct in the first place.
Realwarripickin cancelled show saga made alot of people realise that warri they have been calling they haven't even been there. When travelling to delta, you'd see the park writing warri but where they actually drop you is EFFURUN ROUNDABOUT or PTI JUNCTION in Uvwie local government area. that is not even close to warri at all, to get to warri you'd have to take a cab or keke that Wil drive close 40min plus passing all the neighboring Uvwie communities before you finally enter warri.
Now this isn't tribal war or discrimination is just awareness that Lot of people didn't know and that's how history got lost and children to come wouldn't even know their identity. This matter has been on ground for years now that people should stop generalising everywhere in delta state as warri.. you'd see someone travelling from Lagos and the destination is ughelli.. ask him he will say he is going to warri.. like come on does that make sense? Do you know the distance from ughelli to warri?
You'd see someone staying in SAPELE, you'd ask him where he stays he will say WARRI. all this have been going on for years and we've tried and tried to make several corrections, either we get insulted or people keeps saying it doesn't matter like they just don't want to know.
So my people to end it all this ongoing saga really sweet my belly very well atleast the whole Nigeria is getting to know that where they've claimed to been to or even stayed for years is not actually warri.
